I don't know why people laugh at me when I say I would love a nice, warm Horlicks but I love that stuff so much! I've been thinking of ways to use Horlicks other than as a warm drink so adding it to porridge oats just seemed like a great idea, and IT WAS. At ~307 calories, which includes the toppings, it's such a delicious breakfast. The short and snappy breakdown is on our Instagram but let me break it down for ya here if you need me to hold your hand every step of the way.

Serves: 1

Difficulty: Level 0

Health factor: ⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ingredients

  • 40gr traditional rolled oats

  • 185ml almond milk

  • 15gr Horlicks original powder

  • Toppings:

  • strawberries, halved

  • frozen blueberries

  • 1tsp homemade chia jam

  • sprinkle of chia seeds

  • dash of ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, add oats and almond milk. On low-medium heat, simmer for around 2-5 minutes until the porridge is at the consistency you desire.

  2. Add Horlicks powder and whisk or mix really well using your wooden spoon / spatula. Once incorporated, tip into bowl.

  3. Take the teaspoon of chia jam and swirl it through your oats. Top with strawberries, blueberries and add a sprinkle of chia seeds and ground cinnamon. Enjoy ASAP!
